Where we are - February 9

Keeping up with the blog isn't easy when we have poor or no internet connection - then I get behind. Right now we are anchored off Isla La Pena in Bahia de Jaltemba, about 30 miles north of Punta Mita.  We have the anchorage to ourselves and today we have been entertained by breaching humpback whales.  I managed to post our adventures at Isla Isabella today through a slow internet connection and need to report that the island in front of us is also guano-covered.  The sky is full of circling frigates and formations of pelicans.  There is an unmistakeable scent to the air.....  but it is sunny and warm with quiet winds and seas.

We arrived here yesterday after spending two nights in Matanchen Bay and will probably stay another night before continuing on to the anchorage at Punta Mita, then the cruiser's hot spot - La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.  In the next few days I hope to post about our time at San Blas - fiestas, processions, and crocodiles! - and a few pictures too.  Stay tuned and thanks for following our blog.
